• Audio you upload — beat or instrumental files you submit so we can scan streaming platforms for matches.
• Scan and usage data — your scan history, detected matches, credit balance, and basic activity needed to run your account.
• Payment information — when you subscribe or buy credits, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; Stripe handles them directly.
• Technical data — standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used for security and to keep the service running.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To run scans, detect matches, and show you your results.
• To process subscriptions, credit purchases, and billing through Stripe.
• To send service-related emails such as email verification and account notices.
• To protect the service against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

3. Payment Processing

All payments are handled by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Your card data is collected and stored by Stripe under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive only limited information needed to manage your subscription (for example, plan status and the last four digits of your card). 4. Audio Files & Scan Data

Audio files you upload are used solely to perform scans on your behalf and to generate your match reports. We do not claim ownership of your audio, and we do not redistribute or sell it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any audio you upload.

To deliver the service, we rely on trusted third parties, which may process limited data on our behalf, including:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Email delivery providers — for verification and account emails.
• Streaming and audio-recognition platforms — to perform scans and return match results.

These providers may only use your information to perform their services for BeatScan.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, maintain your session, and operate the site securely. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and scan data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, billing records) to comply with legal obligations.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also cancel your subscription and stop using the service whenever you choose.

BeatScan is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
